Quality Spotlight - Roy Bakker

Roy Bakker

Where were you born and where do you live now?
Born in Salt Lake City and have been living in Stansbury Park for the past twelve years.

Tell us about your family.
I have four children. My oldest daughter is studying at Snow College. Two seniors at Grantsville High School and my youngest, age of nine, is at Rose Springs Elementary. I have been married 22 years to the love of my life, who works for the Tooele School District.

What is your job at the Quality Automotive Group & how long have you been employed there?
I am a Ford Technician and have been employed at Quality for 13 years!

What do you like most about your job?
When I see a vehicle towed in and I repair it and it drives out of the shop. That is really what gives me the most satisfaction!

What is your favorite vehicle at the Quality Automotive Group and why?
Ford GT is the most awesome car Ford ever made, with the exception of the original Ford GT 40.

How is Quality different from other car dealers?
Even though we are a big dealership, the community is small compared to most and you really get a chance to know your customers.

What are your interests?
I enjoy spending time with my family at our 2nd home in Delta, water skiing (I invented a ski machine so i can water ski on Stansbury Lake without a boat so if you see a canoe with a water skier behind it… it’s me). Also active in church leadership, participate in Triathlons and have helped with organizing two local triathlons. Currently I am building a replica of the GT 40 and plan to race at the Miller Motorsports Park.
